Stuart Weitzman store, Milan | Zaha Hadid
Few days ago while I was taking a walk around San Babila in Milan I found this store in Via Sant’Andrea that immediately catch my attention. It is right away recognizable the mind that conceived the fluency of lines that characterizes the whole store: that’s the iraqi architect Zaha Hadid.
So this is a Stuart Weitzman flagship store and Zaha Hadid designed an innovative retail concept for it that are replecated in other key cities around the globe such as Hong Kong, Rome and New York.
The store is 280 square meters in which a constant dialogue between geometry and material creates a rhythm of solids and voids that give an idea of functionality and ergonomics.
The exhibition units also function as seats while the perfect integration of this fluent forms defines the different areas of the store. The palette of colors creates a monochrome interior characterizes by silver and gold shades.
