Futurospective Architecture

For all those who are or area going to Lisbon here is an event that you cannot miss if you appreciate the thought and method of the Japanese architect Sou Fujimoto.
Until November 17th, 2013 you can visit at the Cultural Centre of Belem an exposure of studying models and models in scale of some of the designed works, or by now only thought, by the architect chosen to design the temporary pavilion of the Serpentine Gallery in London.

Qualche esempio:

The common thread that unites these projects is the belief that architecture today needs to be understood as a forest, in which all elements coexist and live together in harmony, related to each other by the cycles of nature; architecture, just like a forest, is a place rich in complexity and diversity.

The models range from small to colossal architectural buildings and urban interventions that reach hundreds of meters high.

House before House

” A House does not solely refer to a singular object. Where the interior and the exterior, architecture and nature, are all equally mixed; a synthetical place for living.”

” An urban square development in the historical center of Belgrade. The flow and intensity of the people creates a special place. Furniture to architecture, city to landscape, capturing such scales in a continuum. Various scales are interweaved.”
